Leather Lei Workshop - Sunday Feb 9th, 2025 4pm-8pm

Spend the evening with us creating your very own Forever Leather Lei!

Introducing our new Leather Lei Workshop. Join us for an evening of fun while creating your own classic leather lei. In the duration of 4 hours, you'll learn general knowledge of leather, how to cut and mold your flowers and string them on your choice of colored silk ribbon. Small beverages and snacks will be included, BYOB is welcomed.

What you'll need:

• Please wear covered shoes as you will be in a working leather shop. Tools required in this class are minimal but sharp tools and heavy machinery/equipment are at arms length. We ask you kindly to be mindful while moving about the room. Things may drop and move, watch your step.
• The workshop may get cold at times, please wear appropriate clothing. 
  

What to know:

• Your leather lei is customizable but with limitations. Your lei comes in a standard 36" in length and one flower shape only (puakenikeni), which includes colors of orange, yellow, white, and green (leaves). You may extend your lei for an additional fee. Any additional color is available if we have in stock. This may vary. If you'd like us to have a specific color on hand, please let us know when booking your class.
  
• This is a beginner/intermediate workshop. You will not be required to have any leather making skills.
• Although a beginner's class, this requires some sharp tools, medium hammering and slightly strenuous hand work. If you need assistance, please don't hesistate to ask our makers so we can work with you on any part of the workshop.
• This class is a duration of 4 hours. We will offer light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks. Alcohol is allowed but must be consumed in shop, and please drink responsibly. 
• Please arrive ON TIME. You will need the full 4 hours to create your lei.
